| There's usually a line outside this informal Italian restaurant steps from the entrance to Paseo Nuevo mall. The food comes fast and hot and the place is noisy. But owner Laura Knight is adding space for a quieter dining room and larger bathrooms. Popular dishes here are the Tuscano- risotto, shrimp, pesto, artichoke hearts, sun- dried tomatoes, topped with sliced Parmesan-and the Firenze-roasted eggplant, penne pasta, artichoke hearts, pine nuts, pesto and gorgonzola. It's a lively place with an open kitchen, music that doesn't overwhelm and there are two red velour sofas to curl up on next to the fireplace. Still, the place can get a bit noisy for normal conversation. Review by Gayot |
